Overlooking the Peel Harvey Estuary, my favourite thing is seeing the Sunrises and Moonrises over water. But in this case the setting sun behind us to the west was lighting up the clouds, creating gorgeous colours in the sky and water. My husband's friend was wading in the shallow waters, placing the fish nets, which are only permitted to be set out on Wednesdays. I created lots of texture, slathering the wooden surface with thick luscious oil paint using a palette knife.
